Citizen Studio joins the debate at Design Ethos

September 7, 2010

Savannah College of Art and Design holds the Design Ethos conference October 7-9 in Savannah, Georgia. This symposium explores how the role and responsibilitis of designers must evolve to work in the sustainable economy. Speakers include some of our personal favorite sustainability design folks, Phil Hamlett (presenting the Living Principles, and John Bielenburg (discussing Project M).

Citizen Studio Partner Linda Doherty will serve on a panel for The Triple Bottom Line and the Need for a New Professionalism, a discussion about methodologies that can be applied to client relations that allow for holistic strategic engagement so design can not only help satisfy profit, but also people and the planet.

In addition to the conference sessions, we hope to tour Emergent Structures, the reclamation project Scott Boylston presented to AIGA Atlanta in April 2010, as well as pay a visit to Structured Green, where the Citizen Studio conference table was designed and built.
