Green Media Show in Boston

The Citizen Studio partners spent two days in Boston this month to attend the Green Media Show. This inaugural event was organized by SustainCommWorld, an organization dedicated to educating communication professionals on developing sustainable practices from internal workflow to the projects we deliver to our clients. Keynote speakers included Michael Harrison, Co-President of Timberland and Tyler Elm who served as Wal-Mart’s Senior Director of Competitive Strategy and Business Sustainability. Breakout sessions covered topics from measuring the carbon footprint of a web site to how to balance sustainability with what customers truly want. The biggest take away from the event has to be the that integrating sustainability into our businesses and communications can be profitable. We’ve also connected with a community of brilliant professionals that will always look for better ways to do business the right way.
