Here’s to a green ’09

February 15, 2009

Each year looks a little greener to us. In early 2004, Citizen Studio sent out canvas bags to our clients and friends to help alleviate the need for paper or plastic ones. We were thrilled to hear that people were actually using them for groceries, a trip to the mall, or other things that reduced disposable bag use. (One lucky bag actually made it to Cortona, Italy for the UGA summer program.)

Last year Whole Foods stopped offering plastic bags, and now even mainstream stores offer cloth bags for customers. It’s encouraging to see the green movement grow, even in this small example. It all adds up.
