A green reminder
In a presentation sponsored by Offset Atlanta, we heard an inspiring talk by Derek Smith of Derek Smith & Associates. He spoke about how our choices in printing and paper affect the environment. This was a great reminder of why we do what we do at Citizen Studio, so we thought we’d remind you. It’s our responsibility to find the best medium to communicate with our client’s audience. If paper and printing are a part of the solution, we will bring eco-friendly design solutions to the table. We offer materials with high post-consumer recycled content and/or virgin fiber certified by forest management organizations such as the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). (We were shocked to learn that only 10% of the world’s forests are managed responsibly!) There are tree-free papers, papers manufactured with water- or wind-generated electricity, carbon neutral papers, and many other choices. And when it’s time to print, we work with with local, FSC-certified printers.
Making the most of our client budgets is always a top priority. In the past, being green meant paying more. As the green movement grows, the prices of green options are becoming more plentiful and more affordable. And being green is good for business—customers are choosing to buy from companies that do the right thing.
If you’d like to know more about how we help our clients go green, please comment on this entry or send us an e-mail.
