Citizen Studio joins the debate at Design Ethos

Savannah College of Art and Design holds the Design Ethos conference October 7-9 in Savannah, Georgia. This symposium explores how the role and responsibilitis of designers must evolve to work in the sustainable economy. Speakers include some of our personal favorite sustainability design folks, Phil Hamlett (presenting the Living Principles, and John Bielenburg (discussing Project M).

Recycling styrofoam

Every new computer and piece of electronics in your home or office probably comes packaged in expanded polystyrene (EPS), the lightweight white material often referred to as styrofoam. And because EPS pieces are molded for a specific purpose, they are not useful after you have unpacked your new laptop or monitor and often end up in the landfill.
